We’re excited to announce that we’re getting close to completing a new version of our AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate video course. The course will be fully updated with a complete replacement of all content and is offered at no additional charge to our students who are currently enrolled.
The new course content will be added to the existing course and will be visible at the bottom of the course content list on the main page of the course. All sections will be released by early September. We’ll be updating this article with progress as we release sections and get closer to cutting over to the new course and removing access to the old course.
The new version of the course is much improved and fully created using the new AWS management console (though changes are ongoing for some services). The following improvements have been made:
- Fully covers the latest exam topics for the SAA-C02
- Fresh hands-on lessons using the new AWS console
- Separate theory lessons with amazing diagrams
- Exam cram lessons summarizing key knowledge
- New quiz questions
The updated course includes a new course download, an updated study plan, and a course update guide that shows you how the sections and content of the old course map to the new course content. You will be able to find all of these materials in the links attached to the last lecture of section 1 of the course (after we go live).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
You’ll no doubt have plenty of questions about this update so here are some answers to the most common questions.
What do I need to do to access the new course and does it cost anything?
After we release the content it will be fully available for you to access at no additional cost. You just access the course as you normally would. We want to support our students with the latest content and happily offer this completely new course to all enrolled students at no additional charge.
Does this mean that the current (older) course is out of date?
The course is mostly up to date with the exam as we have been constantly updating it and we have students passing their exams every day. However, the AWS console has changed and some new services are now coming up in the exam. The new course includes everything we know is featuring on the exam today and the hands-on lessons are all recorded using the new AWS management console. We also think the overall quality is a BIG step up 🙂
What if I’m almost ready to take the exam, do I need to do the entire course again?
No. We have students passing their exams every day using the current version of the course so you can successfully prepare to pass the exam without using the new course.
What will happen to the current version of the course after the new course is released?
The older course will be completely removed from our site after the new course has been fully released. An announcement will be made at least 1 week prior to this event so you have time to complete any lessons.
What will happen to my course progress and completion certificates?
Your course progress will be recorded during the period where both courses are present but you will not be able to earn your course completion certificate unless all old and new content is completed.
If you complete all of the old course content and wish to receive a course completion certificate, please contact email@example.com and we can help you out.
I enrolled on Udemy, when will the new course be released there?
We expect to release the new version of the course on Udemy within 2 weeks of the final release of all content on digitalcloud.training. If you currently have access to the course on Udemy you will be able to access the new course once it has been released without any requirement to pay again.
